Stayed here with my husband for a 4 night city break on our way to heading to Crete for our Christmas stay. The place is in prime location for the subway, and very central to all main sights. Amongst an abundance of restaurants, bars and of course shops. The hotel itself although may need an update, to us was perfectly functional and more importantly very clean, with towels & bins being changed and bed made every day . Bedding was refreshed every other day. Breakfast was included in the price we paid (around €120 for 4 nights) and again though basic (we did not expect as good as it was, so to us was a bonus) usual serving of bread, cheese, ham, jam, marmalade, Boiled eggs and greek yogurt with honey. The coffee was good too, without a kettle in the room it was welcomed in the morning. We always carry ear plugs with us and so with it being a central hotel we were prepared for street noise, so be prepared as it can be very noisy. I would highly recommend this hotel to stay. The lift itself had such a character and in my opinion the hotel is excellent value for money. Thank you to the staff at the home for all your hard work.

Close to absolutely everything, bed really comfortable and bedding and towels changed daily. Really cheap accommodation with breakfast included. There is a slight trade off being close to bars means it can be a little noisy in the evening but this place is fantastic. Really quaint old lift services the floors and it’s close to Moanastiraki metro which is on the blue line from the airport to the port.

I have stayed in this hotel many many times with my cousin but this is my first review! The hotel is certainly not a 5 star hotel but it is excellent in so many ways- centrally located near Monasteraki and the Metro; always immaculately clean and quiet; the Cleaning staff are lovely and have been there for years and remember you and welcome you back; the Breakfast is included in the room price and always fresh and plentiful; the aircon is perfect; whilst the bathrooms are very much in need of updating, they are functional and the lift, whilst small I never have to wait for!! This trip I was treated by the Reception staff with such kindness as always but especially on a very hot Monday when waiting for an 11pm Flight home! Thank you everyone at Hotel Cecil!

This is a very nice boutique hotel. The front desk is open 24 hours and the people are very nice and knowledgeable. The free breakfast is very good. It has charm and is close to everything. It has the best gelato in Athens right downstairs. This is not a fancy hotel with a spa or gym, but a great place for a lovely stay. They have a very cool cage elevator and a rooftop view of the acropolis. I will stay there every time we go to Athens.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the start of our trip and for the last 2 nights as well. Nice clean rooms and the best location. Walking distance to everything. Very affordable rates with breakfast included. Would stay here again when in Athens.
